Software
Realtime Solutions has two product offerings; SpaceMAP and EventMAP. The following gives a brief overview of each toolset.
SpaceMAP
SpaceMAP is a powerful analysis and scenario planning toolset with extensive reporting facilities based on institutional estate information and space standards. The tools:
enable a comprehensive understanding of the amount and type of space required to support a range of activities and can quickly model the impact of activity change on the estate.
are designed to improve the way Universities and Colleges plan and manage the space they need in order to meet their strategic and operational objectives.
are designed to facilitate understanding of how space is currently used.
are designed to control expenditure on space and to optimise value for money.
In general terms, this product is used internally by the team at Realtime Solutions. Interactive reports based on any aspect of the space planning process can be made available to clients via personalised space on the website.
EventMAP
EventMAP was inspired by the challenges faced throughout further and higher education institutions, facing pressure to increase student participation whilst often presented with stymied fiscal provision. Concentrating on the realm of scheduling we consider the development of a series of research led, technologically advanced timetabling and resource planning solutions for education and other resource intensive organisations to be both timely and necessary.
The EventMAP software, optimExam and optimEvent, form an executive information system (EIS). Scenarios can be explored and tested within the institutions investigation into use of space. optimExam provides efficient solutions to the examination timetabling problem and can be used to manage the entire process. optimEvent, on the other hand, is a very effective scenario planner as opposed to being focused on managing the wealth of information and procedures associated with the course timetabling effort within a large institution.
EventMAP integrates all aspects of timetable resource planning and management:
Actual and projected space scheduling.
Constraints and Reporting.
Scenario Planning.
